We’re proud to announce that, with funding from the UNDP, we are launching an exciting initiative to restore degraded lands in the Kalinago Territory. In each of the eight hamlets, three bamboo zones will be created, all managed by Kalinago women. These women will not only oversee sustainable harvesting but will also receive hands-on training in bamboo craftsmanship. From crafting beautiful art to building furniture, this project empowers Kalinago women to develop sustainable livelihoods and support their communities through their skills and creativity.
