Bamboo Project Funding

We have received funding from UNDP for this project.

The ambition is to create three bamboo zones on degraded lands in each of the eight hamlets of the Kalinago Territory. The zones will be managed by Kalinago women who will also take care of sustainable harvesting. The women will be trained in a range of bamboo artisanal techniques so that they can make a living from selling craft, furniture, and so on.
